Kisten was born on 14th October 1998 in Sheffield.At birth she was diagnosed with Hydroencephalus
and given just hours to live.
Kirsten was severely disabled but could distinguish sounds and familiar voices which made her
laugh.Kirsten endured countless operations and amazingly pulled through despite the odds being
stacked against her.Kirstens family and friends frequently held fundraising events which helped to
buy much needed equipment and also fund a trip of a lifetime to Orlando Florida where she swam with
dolphins.8 weeks after her trip to Florida Kirsten became ill and was admitted to hospital but
unfortunately nothing more could be done for her.Sadly on the 13th November 2006 Kirsten passed away
at home.

And though you cannot see me,

of life's sweet celebrations
in those times when you reflect
on how, though things are different,
through our love, we still connect.
